It’s finally here. Just one last preseason game to suffer through watch and then we’re on to the regular season. While the fourth preseason game is often the least interesting for fans because of the dearth of actual starters participating, it is fundamentally important for guys on the fringe who are trying to lock up roster spots. So while you won’t see Matt Ryan tossing bombs to Julio Jones or anything, you will see a bunch of guys playing fast and physical and trying to convince Dan Quinn & Co. that they deserve to stick around. With the end of the preseason comes the last of our preseason picks posts. We’re implementing a new format for this season for picks, and you can participate, so check this out. Each week, we’ll have two guest pickers join us in this quest for bragging rights. One will be a writer from SB Nation’s team brand for whichever team the Falcons are playing that week. Without further ado, let’s get to this hot preseason pick action. Everyone — even Kevin Nogle — picked the Falcons, except for Adnan. Adnan was probably thinking about the Falcons’ proud tradition of getting their asses handed to them by the Dolphins in the preseason, so I actually get it. The staff is a little more split on Steelers vs. Panthers, though the Steelers have the edge. Only Matt Chambers picked the Bucs and the Saints to win. Hopefully he jinxed them.Our two marquee games this week are Packers vs. Chiefs and Bears vs. Bills. Our staff is evenly split on Green Bay and Kansas City. For the Bears and Bills, I gave everyone a couple of extra options. We’ll see if Battlestar Galactica can live up to our pickers’ high expectations.
